The Ashley Bryan’s Beautiful Blackbird exhibit celebrates the ideas that “black is beautiful” and “difference is beautiful.” It promotes creative self-expression, active listening, and storytelling through visuals and words. The exhibit includes interactive elements, Bryan’s voice, personal photos from friends on Little Cranberry Island, and works by renowned Black painters inspired by Bryan. I collaborated with Bryan’s family, Indigo Arts Alliance, and the Ashley Bryan Center, handling the exhibition design.
