The Maine Museum of Innovation, Learning and Labor (Maine MILL), located in Lewiston’s historic Bates Mill District, celebrates Maine’s vibrant industrial and cultural heritage. I directed the design and coordination of the museum’s 5,000-square-foot permanent exhibition. I joined the team to take over for Luci Creative, which had been hired for the concept design. Building on Luci Creative’s foundation, I worked closely with museum staff, architects, artists, scholars, and loom experts to ensure that local voices and culture shaped every detail. The exhibition features compelling stories, archival photographs, hands-on displays, and a stunning two-story historic Jacquard Loom centerpiece, inviting visitors to connect with Maine’s past and future.
